Story: A funny tale, the story is about two crooks Sachin (kunal) and Zaramud (cyrus) who are small time crooks and the film is based on the backdrop of the year 1999. Both Sachin and Zaramud specialize in duplicating of SIM cards and they earn their bread and butter. However, their life takes a turn when they steal a car and as fate would have it, they end up meeting with an accident. To add to the woes, the car belongs to none other than the noted bookie and gangster AGM (Mahesh) and he traces the two crooks and gives them a deadline that they need to pay up for the car. He also sets up the cut throat and rough necked recovery agent Kuber (amit) on their trail. All this apart, there is also the habitual gambler Rahul (boman) who along with his wife Jahnavi (simone) tend to get involved, there is also the hotel manager Pooja (soha) and also the suave match-fixer JC (vinod khanna) who join the chase that starts in Mumbai and goes upto Delhi. What happens from there forms the rest of the story. Presentation: The directors have attempted to come up with a regular storyline but then the credit goes to the narrative and the slick presentation of the film. The dialogues were witty, the script was written alright but there were few flaws. The screenplay was reasonable. Music was good at the background score front but songs were just okay. Cinematography was top notch and editing was much needed in the second half. But there were places where it shone well. Kunal came out with a mature performance while Cyrus was proportionate with his act, Soha looked cute, Mahesh was fabulous. The real show stealer was Boman Irani who gave a remarkable performance, even Amit Mistry is one bundle of talent that needs to be given more chances, Vinod Khanna was impressive. Simone was natural. The others were just brief. Conclusion: The film was a good one and it could have been a lot better if the makers had worked on the length. Though the first half was a bit dull and takes off on a slow mode, things change just before the interval. However, there were many drag moments during the second half which really hampered the excitement. If only, the length was condensed and the film was made crisply, then it would have rocked at the box office. Overall, it is not a boring venture and will pass off with the multiplex and youth audience. Bharatstudent Verdict: Good treat for youth and multiplex audience, one time watch.
